Lubin Law Firm

Filed your own 2026 petition? We can take it from here.

The 2026 deadline to file a petition with the Value Adjustment Board has passed, so we are no longer signing up new appeals. If you filed a petition yourself before the deadline, that petition is alive, and representation can be transferred to our office. We review the property first, and we only take the case if there is a real chance of a reduction.

What to send

  • Your petition receipt or confirmation (the petition number is what we need)
  • The property address and folio or parcel number
  • A phone number where we can reach you
Email my petition receipt to Seth Lubin

Or email seth@lubinlawfirm.com, or call (954) 660-3556.

What happens next

  1. We run our valuation on the property, usually within two business days.
  2. If there is a case, you sign our retainer online and we file the change of representation with the Board. If there is not, we tell you so and you keep your petition.
  3. We prepare the evidence, negotiate with the Property Appraiser, and attend the hearing. Your presence is not needed.

Our fee is the same as for any other client: 45% of the tax savings we obtain for the year, and nothing if there is no reduction. The county filing fee you already paid is yours; there is no second filing fee.
